Problem: Print request to a wrong printer

Printing request may not connect to the right printer because it is not detected when the user tries to establish connection for printing tasks.

Below are the step-by-step instructions to manually add a printer when Windows is unable to detect the right printer you wish to use, or if it’s sending print request to a wrong printer.

  • Click on the “Start” button and go to “Control Panel”. Under “Hardware and Sound” category, select “Printer”.

  • Click on the “Add a Printer” option.

  • Go to “Add Printer Wizard” and choose “Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer”.

  • When “Choose a network printer” page appears, click on the “the printer that I want isn’t listed”.

  • Go on the “Find a printer by name or TCP/ IP address” page, select the option depicting how to find the printer you wish to use, depending upon the location and type of the printer. Click “Next”.

  • Get over with all the additional steps shown in the wizard and click “Finish”.
